Bologna hinted at keeping the magic alive, with Italiano’s assistance being crucial.

In an interview with *Il Resto del Carlino*, Bologna’s goalkeeper, Ravaglia, shared his insights on the current state of the team.

“The magic hasn’t faded,” said Ravaglia. “There have been significant changes, but the core of the group remains the same. There’s a new coach and new players, and I see no reason why we can’t replicate last season’s performance.”

He acknowledged that maintaining their success is more challenging but remained optimistic. “Staying consistent is more difficult, but I say, ‘why not?’ For instance, at Anfield, we played a brave game and I’m not satisfied with the result. It was a remarkable match that showed us we can compete at this level.”

Ravaglia highlighted the impact of the new manager, Italiano. “From day one, Italiano has instilled in us his hunger and immense excitement in leading a club like Bologna. He reminded us of what we achieved, but also that we’re starting from scratch.”

Reflecting on a recent match, Ravaglia added, “After the goalless draw with Parma, he was angry, like all of us, and we eagerly set about preparing for the game with Genoa. We are ready to tackle this cycle of closely packed fixtures.”

Ravaglia believes the team is headed in the right direction, stating, “The direction taken is right and with every change, there’s a phase of adjustment to go through. We’re not looking for excuses, but it’s our first year managing dual commitments and perhaps we’ve felt a bit of fatigue.”

He concluded confidently, “Each game has its own story and we’ve had chances to break through, just like in other matches against Udinese and Empoli, which we could have won. We could have had more points, but it’s a situation we can resolve.”

“The group is hungry and we can still chase after Europe this year,” Ravaglia declared, demonstrating his confidence in his team’s ambitions.
