Monza football club has officially announced the signing of Daniel Maldini on loan from Milan until the end of the season, according to a statement posted on their website.
The official statement revealed that “Daniel Maldini is a new player for Monza. The striker comes from Milan on a temporary basis until June 2024.” Born in Milan on October 11, 2001, Maldini started his career in Milan’s youth team, making his Serie A debut at 18 years old on February 2, 2020, against Hellas Verona at San Siro.
Maldini gradually became a regular member of the senior team in the following season, making five appearances in Serie A and another four in the Europa League. Coincidentally, his first goal for Milan came against Monza during a friendly at San Siro on September 5, 2020.
His progress has been steady, demonstrating both talent and freshness. He made his Champions League debut at Anfield against Liverpool on September 15, 2021, and scored his first Serie A goal ten days later against Spezia.
He ended the 2021-22 season with a league title and 13 combined appearances. Maldini then transferred on loan to Spezia for the 2022 summer, where he played 20 matches in Serie A and the Italian Cup, scoring three goals.
The first half of the 2023-24 season saw Maldini in Empoli’s shirt, which he has now left to start his new journey with Monza.
