Barcelona, Xavi says “This is not a crisis, I always get hammered…”

Xavi, the Barcelona coach, spoke to the press ahead of the Liga match against Alaves. He opened up about his experiences as a coach, stating “The worst moment as a coach was last year. This has nothing to do with that. This is not a crisis or anything like that. Last year was delicate, but it didn’t reach crisis point. I have experienced terrible crises here and this is not one. You have criticized me all my life. You get used to it, almost, to the criticism. This is Barça and you have to accept criticism. We have had two difficult matches and we have to be honest. We haven’t been up to the task. That’s how it works. Unfortunately, you end up getting used to it.” Xavi also emphasized the need to acknowledge their recent shortcomings and work towards improvement. This will be a crucial match for Barcelona as they strive to turn their performance around and regain their winning form. Stay tuned for more updates and analysis on BBC Sports.
