Sassuolo Football Club has confirmed that their midfielder, Daniel Boloca, has undergone an urgent operation following a serious jaw injury sustained in a match against Genoa.
The club made it known that Boloca was hastily taken into surgery to treat and stabilize the severe jaw fracture from last night’s Sassuolo versus Genoa match. He was attended to by Dr. Riccardo Saporiti.
In their statement, the club mentioned, “Footballer Daniel Boloca, accompanied by Dr. Riccardo Saporiti, underwent surgical intervention today for the reduction and fixation of the complex mandibular fracture suffered yesterday during Sassuolo-Genoa”.
The surgery took place at the “Villa Montallegro” in Genoa and was led by Prof. Bernardo Bianchi and Dr. Francesco Arcuri from the Maxillo Facial Surgery Department of the San Martino Hospital in Genoa. According to the report from the medical professionals, the operation was a complete success.
