Sassuolo’s head coach, Alessio Dionisi, has expressed frustration over their loss to Genoa in a recent interview with Dazn.
“We were in control, we played to win,” he said. He lamented over a critical error they made, which they paid for dearly. “This is something that’s happened before,” he added, highlighting a reoccurring issue in the team.
The Sassuolo team was understandably disappointed with the outcome of the game. Dionisi regretfully stated “We were supposed to make it to the second, but then we lost. The lads were disappointed.”
As well as the result, Dionisi mentioned the need to evaluate the team’s performance. “It’s a shame, because we didn’t deserve this defeat. The lads are not satisfied, obviously,” said the Sassuolo head coach.
Dionisi further emphasized on the need for unity and character amongst his players. “I am convinced that with unity and character, we will bounce back,” he affirmed.
Although facing a challenging time, Dionisi seems positive about the team’s potential for improvement and future success, displaying a focused attitude towards their upcoming games.
