Eddie Salcedo, who is owned by Inter Milan, has officially transferred to Serie B side, Lecco.
In a press release, Calcio Lecco 1912 expressed their delight in acquiring the rights to Eddie Salcedo from FC Internazionale Milano on a temporary basis, with an option to buy.
Salcedo, born in 2001, is a versatile forward capable of fulfilling any offensive role, but mainly prefers the position of central forward. The Italian-Colombian was first acquired by Inter in the summer of 2018 and permanently signed the following season. During this time, he has played for the Nerazzurri’s Primavera side, making 31 appearances and netting 13 goals.
Subsequently, Salcedo was loaned out to Hellas Verona, where he made his Serie A debut and amassed 40 appearances, scoring four times. For the season 22/23, the forward moved to Spezia, contributing to 12 appearances.
In subsequent seasons, Salcedo donned the jerseys of Bari, Genoa and Eldense in Serie B, accumulating 35 appearances and scoring 6 goals.
The statement concluded, “Welcome Eddie, we can’t wait to see you celebrate on the pitch with us!”
The official confirmation of Salcedo’s move provides a new challenge for the young talent to prove his worth. It is worth noting that encountering a season of regular first-team football in Serie B could be a stepping stone for the forward to cement his place in the top level of Italian football.
