Napoli’s striker Victor Osimhen is set to miss the match against Monza and head off early for the African Cup of Nations, according to an official announcement from Napoli’s official account.
The team revealed that Osimhen will be leaving a day earlier to join up with the Nigerian national team camp.
In a statement, it was confirmed that “At the end of today’s training, Osimhen has been granted a day off so he can be with his family before heading off for the national team’s camp.”
With this early departure, the Nigerian striker will have extra time to prepare and acclimatise, potentially giving his national team an edge in the upcoming African Cup. This news once again highlights the demands and commitments of players who juggle both club and international responsibilities.
