Following a disappointing defeat against Frosinone in the Coppa Italia, tensions are rising in Napoli, the reigning champions. The loss effectively rules Napoli out of contention for their second seasonal goal, and they lag behind in the race for the top spot by 14 rounds.
According to reports by Gazzetta dello Sport, at least five players could potentially leave the club. Piotr Zielinski is not among these names, however, there is uncertainty surrounding his contract renewal.
The first on the list of potential departures is Elmas. The player reportedly has an agreement with Leipzig, who are prepared to pay €25 million for his transfer. Post the Frosinone setback, the coach messaged Elmas, stating that “after the title, if anyone wants to leave, I am all for letting them go.”
Alongside Elmas, others who might be departing include Simeone – if Osimhen stays – Gaetano, who is attracting interest from Lecce and Frosinone, Demme, whose transfer potential seems doubtful due to conditions around his contract, and Zanoli, who piques Genoa’s interest.
