AC Milan defender, Jan Carlo Simic, has opened up about his first goal in Serie A and his time on the pitch, stating he “felt nothing” during his successful debut.
Speaking to Sky after Milan’s victory against Monza, Simic expressed his joy and determination. “In the field, I felt nothing. The ball came to me and I scored. I’m glad to have helped the team and now I will continue to work,” he said.
Simic also spoke warmly about his admiration for Paolo Maldini, acknowledging the former AC Milan captain as his idol and expressing his honour at being part of the same club. However, he did not quote Maldini directly. Instead, he stated, “Maldini is also my idol, from when I was little I watched his videos. It’s an honour to be here and I will do everything to repay and give my best.”
Simic’s determination and reverence for the club’s heritage are clear, and it will be exciting to see how his career with AC Milan develops in the coming seasons.
