In a pre-match interview with DAZN, Napoli’s sporting director, Mauro Meluso, has discussed the club’s player strategy for the upcoming match against Monza.
Meluso stated, “We are working behind the scenes trying to be discreet, if a player leaves, another will take his place”. He went on to express the club’s intention to bring in another central midfielder as Elmas is confirmed to leave officially in January.
The Napoli director also revealed the club’s broader plan, transforming direct speech from the Italian into our native tongue, “the idea is to let some younger players get game time and replace them”. This reflects the club’s desire to nurture homegrown talents and prepare them for bigger roles.
