According to the *Gazzetta dello Sport*, AC Milan is currently dealing with what has been described as the “Rafael Leao issue.”
The Portuguese forward has once again lost his starting spot and is expected to be on the bench for the upcoming Monza vs Milan match.
Leao is struggling to meet head coach Paulo Fonseca’s demands for defensive intensity, as evidenced by GPS data, which track players’ movements and contributions on the pitch.
The coach is reportedly unhappy with the situation but remains firm in his approach.
“The club has explained to Leao’s agent that they still view him as an important asset for the organisation,” a club spokesperson told the *Gazzetta dello Sport*. “However, technical decisions must remain in the hands of our current manager, Paulo Fonseca.”
