Genoa’s Gilardino: Monza Dominated in Second Half, I Don’t Recall Any Opportunities

Alberto Gilardino, the coach of Genoa, has expressed his thoughts following the team’s loss against Monza.

Gilardino spoke to Dazn after the Monza-Genoa match.

“The loss is not solely down to the goal conceded towards the end,” he noted, highlighting his frustration. There was no faulting the players for how they played.

Gilardino recalled the first half of the match to be balanced. However, Genoa dominated in the second half. “I don’t remember any dangerous opportunities for Monza,” he stated.

According to Gilardino, the small errors that his team made ultimately led to them conceding goals. However, his focus remains on the silver lining.
