The club officially announced the news on their Twitter handle, featuring an image that read, ‘O mamma mia, here we go!’ The club tweeted, “O mamma mia, 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗴𝗼!” and included the news of his transfer. Genoa CFC, in their tweet on January 17, 2024.

In the transfer notice, the club mentions, “First contact with the new reality for the Norwegian midfielder. Emil Bohinen is Genoa’s new player.” The note elaborates further on Bohinen’s career and stats. “Bohinen, born in Derby on 12/03/1999, comes from Salernitana on a loan deal with an option and obligation under certain conditions.
