According to today’s edition of *Il Secolo XIX*, negotiations for Mario Balotelli’s transfer to Genoa on a free transfer are currently stalled.
The arrival of Gaston Pereiro has reportedly limited the opportunities available to the former Inter and Milan striker.
In recent days, Balotelli has engaged in intensive discussions with Sporting Director Ottolini, but the decision at present is not to move forward.
“This situation could still change after the match against Bologna,” a source close to the club stated, “especially with Genoa’s injury concerns in mind.”
