Radu Dragusin, the defender of Genoa, has spoken out about his season on the official channels of the Serie A League.
Lauding praises on the city and its residents, Dragusin stated that Genoa is a wonderful city that is very welcoming to people. The fans of Genoa, he feels, have greatly contributed to this positive experience.
Easing into life in Genoa, Dragusin talks glowingly about the warmth shown by the fans. “They help you in the rough times, such as what happened last year with too many defeats. The people at the stadium and on the streets supported us, they never lost hope that we could immediately return to Serie A,” he said.
Showing a sense of belonging, Dragusin expressed admiration for the supporters who followed their team, even while on the move. “When we move by bus, they follow us on scooters and sing behind us. These are wonderful feelings,” he exclaimed.
A shift from his hometown, the Genoa defender also pointed out his love for the sea. According to him, boarding a boat and going offshore is quite relaxing – a luxury he doesn’t have in his hometown.
Beyond the turf and the waterfront, Dragusin is eager to learn more about the city in his spare time. While he enjoys exploring secrets of the city that only locals are privy to, the overall impression he paints of Genoa is of a place that has become integral to his football career and his sense of belonging.
