Former Inter and AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli is reportedly on the verge of making a return to Serie A, with Genoa as his likely destination.
The striker has been considered by various clubs, including Torino, but it appears that Genoa has reached an agreement with him.
According to La Repubblica, Balotelli’s move to Genoa is “only a matter of time.” The former Nerazzurri striker is said to have negotiated a contract valid until 30th June, worth €400,000 gross, plus bonuses.
Following discussions between the team’s coach, Alberto Gilardino, sporting director Carlo Ottolini, and club manager Marco Rossi, the club is now awaiting only the official signing of the contract.
With everything nearly in place, fans might soon see Balotelli back on Serie A pitches after a significant hiatus.
