Following the match between Torino and Empoli, Empoli’s coach Aurelio Andreazzoli spoke in a press conference about the team’s performance. His comments were reported by TMW.
Expressing his disappointment, Andreazzoli said, “What we were looking for was quality and quickness in our play to counter Torino’s characteristics. However, we failed at this, in fact, we seemed to have empowered Torino instead.”
The coach also addressed his team’s lack of precision, particularly in passing. “We’ve made an enormous number of errors in passing, no one excluded, even simple ones. We scored two goals that sadly didn’t register on the scoreboard.”
Highlighting a crucial mistake that cost the team, Andreazzoli revealed, “Cancellieri failed in face-to-face with the goalkeeper.”
Despite the setback, he remained optimistic about the team’s potential. He emphasised that they must remain resolute in pursuing what they have in mind. This marked a belief in their approach, despite recognising negative patterns in their games.
