In a recent interview with *TMW*, renowned market expert Niccolò Ceccarini shared his insights on Genoa’s transfer market, specifically addressing the future of Frendrup, who is currently a target for AC Milan.
“The Milan club is increasingly focused on acquiring a midfielder,” Ceccarini revealed. He added, “One player the Rossoneri are following with great interest is Reda Belahyane, born in 2004, who is performing exceptionally well at Verona.”
Belahyane’s talent has not gone unnoticed, as he has already made his debut for the Moroccan national team on 15th October against the Central African Republic. “Clubs of high international standing such as Chelsea and Marseille are monitoring his development,” Ceccarini noted.
Having become a key figure for Zanetti’s team, Belahyane could prompt Milan to initiate negotiations in the winter transfer window. Ceccarini pointed out, “Milan would need to present a significant offer, and being an Under-22 player means there would be no registration list issues.”
While the discussion currently remains speculative, Ceccarini stated, “It’s clear that Belahyane could be a very valid option. Of course, other possibilities remain open.”
Frendrup continues to be a target, though Genoa’s asking price is no less than 15 million euros. Ceccarini also highlighted Cardoso from Real Betis and Lucas Gouma-Douath of Salzburg, born in 2003, as potential alternatives Milan might consider.
