Former Empoli coach, Paolo Zanetti, has been speaking to Corriere dello Sport in which he made interesting comments about Roma’s attacking midfielder Baldanzi – a player he discovered and nurtured during his time at the helm of the Azzurri.
“I noted during the summer that both him and Fazzini had unique talents. I quickly recognised that Tommaso had qualities that were different from the norm and deserved to fast-track his integration into the first team. It wasn’t difficult,” said Zanetti.
He also believes Baldanzi’s game has more scope to improve and could develop further under the guidance of a coach like De Rossi. “For me, he could even work in tandem with Dybala, not just as his alternative. He certainly has lots of room for improvement and with a coach like De Rossi, he will also grow in a new position,” stated Zanetti.
