Adriano Galliani, the administrative director of Monza, is gaining traction in the football transfer market to secure more firepower for his offensive forces under the management of Palladino, according to Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Reports from Italy suggest that Antonino La Gumina, who is currently on loan at Parma from Sampdoria, and Juventus youngster Radu Dragusin are being closely watched by Galliani’s team.
The story further suggests a negotiation with Napoli to facilitate the transfer of Zerbin and Popovic.
Both players have previously been associated with Frosinone, but are now close to joining Monza. Galliani seems to have overtaken the interest from Frosinone for the two skilled players.
The sports paper reveals that a misunderstanding over non-EU player registration rules prohibited Frosinone from signing the players, allowing Monza to move in.
If he is successful, this will mark a substantial strengthening of Monza’s offensive line-up for the next season.
