Salernitana is in the throes of a significant transformation under the guidance of Walter Sabatini, the club’s new sporting director.
In a move that signals a major overhaul of the squad, the Campania-based team is poised to make three major signings following the recent acquisition of midfielder Pierozzi on loan from Fiorentina.
The imminent arrivals are touted to be Majer from Cremonese and Bonazzoli from Verona. Additionally, Salernitana has also reportedly expressed interest in Zanoli and Gaetano from Napoli. The club has received the green light to recruit the former, a promising full-back. However, their bid to secure the latter, a talented central midfielder, might face competition from Empoli who are also said to be keen on the player.
Salernitana’s active participation in the transfer market and the resultant revamp of the team is indicative of Sabatini’s strategic plan to bolster the lineup.
