Before Udinese’s kickoff against Milan, Sporting Director Federico Balzaretti had a chat with Sky Sport.
Speaking about promising young player Samardzic, Balzaretti shared, “Initially, there was an approach. The lad has many interests, but there were never any serious negotiations or close to concluding. The young man is responding very well, he even starts tonight. He will be an added value.”
Turning to speculate about Pafundi’s future, Balzaretti revealed, “there is a negotiation with Lausanne. The lad has had a lot of requests, and together we have opted for this choice to go abroad, weighing the pros and cons. In the global world in which we live, there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not 100% defined, but we are working on it.”
On the subject of Lucca’s progress, Balzaretti noted, “I played with Ibra at Juve, and one thing they have in common is the desire to improve every day. Lorenzo is working with a clear head and important desire, he must continue in this way. Humility is required.”
When asked about the impact of seeing De Rossi on Roma’s bench, he revealed, “I have a great affection for him and I’m delighted, considering we’ve known each other for twenty years. I’ve messaged him, wishing him all the best.”
