A large group of Torino footballers have today visited the Regina Margherita children’s hospital in the capital of Piedmont. They also visited the nearby UGI house, the Italian Parents’ Union against children’s cancer. Today’s visit gave them a chance to meet with young patients during the holiday season.
Among the visiting players were notable names such as Nemanja Radonjic, Raoul Bellanova, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, Alessandro Buongiorno, Ivan Ilic, Nikola Vlasic. They were followed by Ricardo Rodriguez, Adrian Tameze, David Zima, Gvidas Gineitis, Jean N’Guessan, Brandon Soppy, Duvan Zapata, Pellegri senior, and Antonio Sanabria.
On a tweet posted by UGI ODV from 20th December 2023, the presence of the footballers and the staff of Torino was acknowledged at the kids’ UGI House and the Regina Margherita Children’s Hospital. The tweet thanked Torino team for a wonderful afternoon filled with joy and light-heartedness.
This visit came as a beautiful gesture following the recent news about a one million euro fine imposed by the Antitrust body on Chiara Ferragni, an influencer, for implying that proceeds from a series of branded Panettone would be donated to the Piedmontese capital’s children’s hospital. In the wake of this, the Torino team’s effort is seen as a positive step, showing their commitment to the local community.
