Juventus FC is on the brink of securing its first transfer of the winter window, with teenage defender Tiago Djalò expected to arrive in Turin within the next few days. This information, according to Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport, comes as details and bureaucratic matters are finalised.
Juventus have stolen a march on Inter Milan, who had shortlisted the Lille defender for a summer transfer. As Djalò’s contract nears expiration and he finds himself distanced from the French side, Juventus have seized the opportunity with a swift move and an offer understood to be between €6 and €7 million, and persuaded their counterparts to release him in January.
For the player himself, a contract worth €3.5million plus performance-related bonuses is reportedly set.
