Napoli midfielder Eljif Elmas is set to make a transfer to RB Leipzig following a £25m deal being agreed upon.
Leipzig had put forward an offer for Elmas which is reported to be around €25 million.
Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the negotiations are in their final stages and are expected to conclude in the coming days.
Despite the imminent move, neither Napoli nor Leipzig is yet to officially confirm the transfer.
Elmas, who plays for the North Macedonian national team, will be expected to strengthen Leipzig’s midfield, continuing his impressive form from Serie A.
Further details of his transfer such as contract length and squad number are yet to be released, but are expected to be announced following the completion of the deal. A further announcement is predicted in the coming days.
