Lazio’s sporting director, Angelo Fabiani, has stressed the club’s keenness to retain Felipe Anderson, whose contract is set to expire on June 30th. The issue of his renewal is currently causing a stir in the club’s transfer strategies.
Fabiani addressed the issue in a forceful inscription in Italian daily, “Il Messaggero”, stating their intent to maintain their ace midfielder beyond the January transfer window.
“We are not interested (in transfer talks), we certainly won’t deprive ourselves of him now and the renewal offer (3.5 million a year, with an option until 2028) is still on the table,” Fabiani officially quoted according to the news source.
The club looks forward to securing the future of the player considering his pivotal role in the Lazio squad.
