Fantastic news for Torino football club as they have announced the contract renewal of their player Gvidas Gineitis. Officially reported on their website, the Piedmont-based club confirmed that Gineitis’ stay with the team will last until 30th June 2028, extending the previous contract that was initially set to expire in 2026.
This is a deliberate move by the Torino side, expressing trust in the young midfielder and employing him in their future build. Hailing from Mažeikiai in Lithuania and turning 20 years in April, Gineitis has shown all the credentials to make his presence felt in the league. Known for his loyalty to the coach, Juric, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more of him on the pitch as the season reaches its climax.
Torino’s official statement regarding the operation read as follows:
“Torino Football Club is delighted to announce the renewal of the sporting performance contract of the footballer Gvidas Gineitis until 30 June 2028.
Born in 2004, Gineitis joined Torino in January 2022, bolstering the ranks of the Primavera team. His technical qualities, seriousness, and consistency in training quickly brought him into the orbit of the First team. He made his Serie A debut on 10 February 2023, at San Siro against AC Milan. He has so far totalled 17 appearances with the Granata shirt and 12 with the Lithuanian national team.
Let’s move forward together: best wishes for your work and always Forza Toro!”
