Torino Football Club has officially extended Karol Linetty and Mergim Vojvoda’s contracts. Both players will now remain with the football club until 30th June 2025, according to Torino’s official announcements.
In a club statement, Torino said, “We are delighted to announce that we have exercised the option to extend the contract of player Karol Linetty until 30 June 2025.” Born in Znin, Poland, on 2 February 1995, Linetty began his football career in the youth club of Lech Poznan. He made his debut in the Polish premier league in the 2012 – ’13 season. Linetty, who won a Polish title and a Polish Supercup, had clocked in 112 appearances and 11 league and cup goals over four years with the team.
He later transferred to Sampdoria in Italy, where he played 132 matches and scored 11 goals over four seasons. Linetty has been with Torino since August 2020, scoring 2 goals in 97 appearances. He also holds 47 appearances and 5 goals for Poland’s national team.
The announcement also addressed Mergim Vojvoda’s contract renewal. “We are delighted to announce that we have exercised the option to extend the contract of player Mergim Vojvoda until 30 June 2025” states the Torino FC in its official release.
Born on 1 February 1995, Vojvoda began his playing career with Standard Liege’s youth team. Making his Belgian premier league debut with Royal Excel Mouscron in the 2016-2017 season. After three years, during which he made 103 appearances and scored two goals in both the championship and cup, he returned to Standard Liege for another season.
Joining Torino in August 2020, Vojvoda has made 103 appearances and scored 3 goals. He also boasts 53 matches and 2 goals for the Kosovo national team.
