Thiago Motta Reveals he Doesn’t Closely Follow Deco’s Work

In an interview given to La Vanguardia, Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, has downplayed discussions surrounding the future of Thiago Motta. The Bologna manager has been recently linked with the Barcelona hot-seat.

“Motta? I don’t follow Motta’s work very closely because he’s not at an Italian team that I usually watch. We’ve been keeping an eye on Marquez because he’s here. He’s a young manager who’s growing despite the difficulties,” Deco revealed to the Spanish daily. The sporting director’s comments have put a dampener on the speculations relating to Motta’s potential move to Barcelona.
