The club president discussed Gyokeres’ summer departure plans and market intentions.

The president of Sporting Lisbon, Frederico Varandas, has once again addressed the future of Viktor Gyökeres, a player who has piqued the interest of several clubs, most notably Juventus.

Discussing the Swedish forward, Varandas made it clear that the club’s position is firm. “I cannot promise anything, but if a club arrives and pays the release clause, and if he wants to leave… he will go,” he stated.

However, Varandas added a note of optimism for Sporting fans. “But I do NOT believe that this will happen in January,” he concluded.

These comments were reported by Fabrizio Romano on X, highlighting the ongoing buzz around Gyökeres and the anticipation building up around his potential movements in the upcoming transfer windows.
