Soyuncu’s Move to Roma Fizzles Out: Official Loan to Fenerbahce Confirmed

Atletico Madrid have officially loaned out Caglar Soyuncu to Fenerbahce. He was previously targeted by Roma.

Atletico Madrid confirmed the move on their official website stating, “Our club and Fenerbahce have reached an agreement for the loan of Çağlar Söyüncü to the Turkish side until the end of the current season.”

Soyuncu moved to Atletico Madrid this summer from Leicester City. Since his arrival, the defender has played nine official matches for the Spanish giants.

Although he contributed significantly to the club’s advancement in both the Champions League – reaching the round of 16 – and the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey, a stint at Turkey’s Fenerbahce now awaits him.

Atletico Madrid wished Soyuncu the best stating, “Atletico Madrid wishes Çağlar Söyüncü good luck for this new professional challenge”.
