Sensational Eto’o, accused by daughter: the reason

Annie, the 21-year-old university student and daughter of former Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto’o, has launched an official complaint against her father. As reported by Italian newspaper ‘La Repubblica’, the claim lodged at the Milan prosecutor’s office accuses Eto’o of failing to pay maintenance support.

In the complaint, it was alleged that “Eto’o consistently shied away from his parental responsibilities. His daughter, not financially independent and studying away from home, is supported by her mother, who struggles to provide a dignified life for her. Eto’o has never wanted to have any relationship with his daughter, thus creating a fragile psychological situation for her, given the absence of a father figure, as well as her challenging financial circumstances.” Furthermore, the complaint revealed that the daughter’s cries for help appeared to have had no effect.

The details of this claim against the former Cameroonian international’s maintenance payments follow an ongoing trend of similar issues for retired footballers, but the defending party has so far not responded to the allegations.
