Saudi Arabia targets several European referees, not only Orsato

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation is reportedly not just targeting Italian referee Daniele Orsato, but several other high-profile European and international referees as well.

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, the list in the possession of Saudi Arabian leaders extends beyond Orsato, who has reportedly been approached with an offer and is currently mulling it over.

Among the targets on the list is Dutch referee Danny Makkelie, regarded as one of the best international referees currently operating in the game.

French referee Clément Turpin has also reportedly made the list, along with German referee Felix Brych, and English Michael Oliver.

Also, in contention are Slovenian referee Slavko Vinčić, Spanish official Jesús Gil Manzano, and Portuguese referee Artur Soares Dias.
