Salernitana defender Lorenzo Pirola spoke to Sky Sport ahead of their match against Atalanta, acknowledging a challenging week for the team.
“There’s no point in denying that it’s been a complicated week for everyone involved with the club,” Pirola said. However, he emphasised that what matters most now is their performance on the pitch.
The defender noted that they need a shift in attitude and must show a stronger desire to win. He acknowledged Atalanta as a significant challenge, describing them as one of the top teams in Serie A for years now.
“Despite this, we must try to earn points against any and every team” Pirola stated on Sky Sport.
When discussing the outlook of team coach Inzaghi, Pirola said that the Coach stressed the need for team belief. “If we do not believe in ourselves, there is no point in even taking to the pitch. We should demonstrate our quality,” Pirola quoted Inzaghi as saying.
