Roma’s midfielder Leandro Paredes has opened up about his future plans in an interview with DSports.
He expressed his long-term aspirations stating, “When I retire I will live in the capital, but I’ll return to the Boca Juniors”. Paredes was clear that his determination to return to play for the Boca Juniors had been firmly established since he left them. He cited a remaining desire to have a prolonged tenure at the club.
He further raised the mere possibility of his contemporary, Paulo Dybala playing for River Plate. Paredes commented with a hint of jest, “Paulo is a fan of Boca Juniors so it’s impossible for him to play for River Plate”. Suggesting that he may persuade Dybala to join him at Boca Juniors, he added, “I think I’ll have him in my bag”.
Paredes’ statements hint at a possible return to Boca Juniors while also teasing a prospective move for Dybala, adding a layer of intrigue to the future plans of these footballers.
