Victor Osimhen, who has been linked with numerous clubs in the transfer market, has shared his thoughts on Galatasaray and more. His statements were reported by *Fanatik*.
“Joining Galatasaray is a privilege for me,” said the former Napoli player. “Drogba is one of my heroes, and I have also played here. I am thankful to the Galatasaray fans. Everyone here has welcomed me very warmly. I am at a very big club and I am ready to do everything possible for this club.”
Reflecting on his decision to join Galatasaray, Osimhen mentioned that he was close to leaving after just three to four months. “I was about to go elsewhere when I spoke with Okan Buruk,” he noted, describing the coach as deeply impactful both as a father figure and a human being. “He told me that the team was of high quality and had great ambitions. Playing with these players and achieving success was convincing. When I arrived here, I understood it’s a serious club. We are very happy here as a family.”
Discussing his goals, Osimhen said, “There are great strikers here. I am also a good scorer, but I never put myself before the team. The success of the team is important. Icardi is a great scorer. It’s not important who scores, it’s about the team. I need to help the team with goals and assists. Goals are important, we win by scoring, but the success of the team is my priority.”
On his recent injury, Osimhen clarified, “I was substituted in the first half of the match against Kasımpaşa as a precaution, and our doctor treated me well. Today I will start training with the team.”
