Real Madrid announces Ancelotti’s contract renewal

Carlo Ancelotti has renewed his contract with Real Madrid, extending his tenure until June 2026. Despite interest from the Brazilian Football Confederation, Ancelotti has chosen to remain with the prestigious Spanish team.

According to an official statement from Real Madrid, Ancelotti’s commitment to the club is now confirmed until the summer of 2026.

It had been suggested that Xabi Alonso may be the likely candidate to succeed Ancelotti. The former player is still considered a principal contender to take over the reins from Ancelotti in two years’ time.
