The future of rising star Simone Pafundi is certainly drawing attention in the transfer market; rumours and speculations suggest that he is not destined for Serie B but rather making a move to Lausanne in Switzerland.
Despite being recognised as an exceptional talent born in 2006, Pafundi has had limited opportunities to showcase his capabilities in Italy. Particularly at Udinese, his appearances have been notably thin on the ground, a situation that has left many puzzled considering his innate quality as an attacking midfielder and his admiration for Messi, it is strange that he has only played sporadically in recent years.
Being considered too advanced for the Primavera but not yet ready for the first team has led to Udinese seeking to loan him out to foreign clubs, to grant him more playing time. While there had been talks about several teams showing interest, Pafundi is set to journey to Lausanne this weekend for medical checks and to sign his contract.
It has been disclosed that he will be loaned out for a period of 12 months and the agreed redemption fee is somewhere between 10 to 15 million euros.
