Onana vents: I haven’t become the world’s worst in six months

Manchester United’s number one goalkeeper, André Onana, has voiced his frustration following criticism of his recent performances. This comes as reports from Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

In an impassioned defence of his form, Onana said, “Are you telling me that in six months, the best goalkeeper of the last Champions League can become the worst in the world? No. I know things will improve here at Manchester United. It’s only a matter of time,” according to Romano’s report.

In translating these words, Onana is keen to point out that his standing as one of the leading goalkeepers in the world, from his performance in last season’s Champions League, should not be overshadowed due to a short period of poor form. He expressed his certainty that his time at Manchester United will see an upswing and appealed for patience.
