Swiderski Confirmed as New Player for Hellas Verona

This just in: Karol Swiderski is the latest addition to Hellas Verona’s roster, as officially announced by the club on their website.

Hellas Verona FC stated they have acquired the Polish striker – on loan with the right to buy – from Charlotte FC until 30th June in 2024.

Swiderski, born 23rd January 1997 in Rawicz, Poland, rose through the ranks of Rawia Rawicz and SMS Łódź’s youth teams before moving to Jagiellonia in the top-flight Polish league, the Ekstraklasa, in the 2014/15 season.

He made his professional debut with Jagiellonia on 23rd August 2014 and notched up seven appearances in his inaugural season, scoring one goal and providing two assists. Over the years, from August 2014 to December 2018, he made his mark by bagging 25 goals and nine assists in a total of 128 appearances for the Polish club.

The striker made his debut in European competitions on 2nd July 2015, when he took the field at the 80′ mark in the match between Jagellonia and Kruoja, in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. Coincidentally, this game saw him score his inaugural European goal, sealing a 1-0 victory.

In January of 2019, Swiderski moved to Greek club PAOK Thessaloniki, where he made his debut on the 27th of the same month in PAOK’s 4-0 victory over OFI Crete in the Super League Greece, the Greek premier league. In the subsequent round of league matches, Swiderski scored his first league goal, which proved to be the winner, in a 2-1 win over PAS Giannina.
