Manchester United has officially announced that Jadon Sancho will be returning to Borussia Dortmund until the end of the season. The club clarified through its official channels, “Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has returned on loan to his former club Borussia Dortmund until the end of the season.”
The 23-year-old previously spent four seasons with the Bundesliga team from 2017, during which time he scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists. Sancho completed his move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021.
Playing for the Red Devils, Sancho made 82 appearances, netting 12 goals in total across all competitions. He was part of the team that won the Carabao Cup in 2023.
He will now temporarily return to Germany, joining Borussia Dortmund as the club prepares to kick-off the resumption of the Bundesliga season following the winter break.
Manchester United’s management also conveyed their best wishes for the England international who has earned 23 caps, wishing him well for the remainder of the season.
