Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo’s journey to Europe has started with Benfica, not Roma, as initially speculated. The Portuguese club has officially confirmed his arrival in this transfer window.
Benfica have reportedly shelled out 18 million euros for the player’s transfer, in addition to agreeing to 10% of any future resale towards his former club, Santos.
Leonardo has signed a contract that runs until 2029. The agreement includes a staggering buyout clause of 150 million euros.
