Napoli-Salernitana game bans ticket sales to visiting fans

The Prefect of Naples has officially announced the sale of tickets to visiting fans for the upcoming Serie A clash between Napoli and Salernitana.

In an official statement, the Prefect explained: “The sale of tickets to residents of the Province of Salerno is prohibited, except for those part of the loyalty programs of the S.S.C. Napoli sports club for the Serie A match Napoli – Salernitana, scheduled for January 13th at the Maradona Stadium in Naples.”

This ruling by the Prefect was adopted on similar advice from the Napoli Police Headquarters. The decision takes into account considerations expressed by the Committee for the Analysis of Security in Sports Events. On December 28th last year, the committee highlighted the intense rivalry between the two groups of fans, which in the past has led to serious incidents.
