According to today’s edition of *Corriere dello Sport*, there have been significant advances in the contract renewal discussions for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia with Napoli, following a meeting with his agent yesterday.
The major development is that the gap regarding his salary has been notably reduced. The Azzurri have proposed €5 million plus bonuses, with gradual increments over the years up to €7 million.
However, the demand remains for a scaled salary increase to between €8 and €9 million.
Another hurdle is the release clause, which is approximately €80 million. Aurelio De Laurentiis is reportedly not keen on including it.
