Napoli’s interest in Alessandro Buongiorno, the Torino defender, has taken another turn.
According to the latest edition of Tuttosport, a direct contact has been made between Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, and Urbano Cairo, the president of Torino.
The discussions reportedly centred around the potential transfer of Buongiorno.
Cairo is said to be open to the idea of selling the 24-year-old centre-back.
However, he has specified that the deal will only go through under certain conditions.
“There are negotiations on the table, but we will only proceed if the terms are favourable for Torino,” Cairo was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.
Fans of both clubs will be keenly watching this developing situation.
Bringing Buongiorno to Napoli could be a significant move for the club as they look to strengthen their defensive line-up.
