Napoli has released a report detailing the physical condition of their goalkeeper, Alex Meret, following a recent injury.
The team conducted their training at the SSCN Konami Training Center as they prepare for their first match of 2024, Torino-Napoli, scheduled for Sunday, January 7, at 3PM for the 19th day of the Serie A.
The squad began their session with a warm-up on field 1 before focusing on ball possession in the following training module. Their session also included aerobic exercises and concluded with a smaller-scale match.
Napoli’s report stated, “Gollini has performed the complete session with the group.” It also went on to cover the status of Alex Meret, who had diagnostic tests at Pineta Grande Hospital.
The results showed a second-degree injury to the semimembranosus muscle in his left leg. The extent and impact of this injury on Meret’s gameplay are yet to be seen. The source of this information is directly from Napoli’s training report.
Football enthusiasts and fans of Napoli will be eagerly waiting for updates on Meret’s recovery and return to action.
