Napoli hit by emergency as Politano also halts: Mazzarri in crisis

Napoli Football Club has released an update following their recent training session, revealing that winger Matteo Politano has suffered an injury.

In their official statement, Napoli announced: “The team trained this morning at the SSCN Konami Training Center. They are preparing for their first match of 2024, Torino-Napoli, which is scheduled for Sunday, January 7 at 15:00 for the 19th round of Serie A. The team began the session with strength work in the gym. Subsequently, the group, on pitch 2, carried out athletic exercises with the aid of low hurdles and tactical technical work. The session concluded on pitch 3 where the squad played a mini tournament of four teams composed of five men. Politano did personalised work on the pitch due to fatigue”.

As per the club’s report, Politano had to follow a personalised training regime on the field due to fatigue. This raises questions about his physical condition and potential impact on Napoli’s match against Torino, due to take place on 7th January.
