Mourinho reportedly approaches Giuntoli about Juventus player for Fenerbahce move.

José Mourinho has reportedly approached Juventus’ sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli with a keen interest in acquiring Weston McKennie for his Fenerbahce side.

Despite having recently concluded an impressive season, McKennie seems to be on his way out of Juventus. The Turin-based club does not appear willing to incorporate him into Thiago Motta’s new project.

Sources close to the negotiation have indicated that Mourinho is eager to bolster his squad with the versatile American midfielder.

“Mourinho is very interested in McKennie and sees him as a valuable addition to Fenerbahce,” a source revealed.

The 25-year-old midfielder was previously on the verge of signing with Aston Villa, but the deal fell through at the last moment.

With Mourinho needing reinforcements for his ambitious plans in Turkey, McKennie’s future seems destined to lie away from the Allianz Stadium.
