Following the match against Cagliari, Monza coach Raffaele Palladino addressed the media. He spoke with Sky Sport and highlighted the importance of motivation and dedication.
“You need to go on the field with great motivation,” Palladino said, as quoted by Sky Sport. “My boys give their hearts during the week to get to the game in the best shape.”
Palladino admitted that his team made mistakes in the first half, which, in his view, was uncharacteristic. He indicated, however, that the squad recognised this and responded in a manner consistent with great character.
The Monza head coach noted that the team’s poor approach in the first-half was not due to a lack of commitment, implying a total failure in their approach. He jokingly remarked that he would have replaced all the players if possible.
Nevertheless, Palladino seemed encouraged by the team’s reaction in the second half. In his comments to Sky Sport, he said the team managed to pull through their struggles. Despite being disappointed with their performance in the first half, he was satisfied with their reaction in the second.
Discussing plans for next season, Palladino called on the club’s management, including Chief Exec Adriano Galliani, to reflect on the current situation. “Talk with Galliani about the transfer market!” were the coach’s final comments to Sky Sport.
