AC Milan are poised to make a strategic move to bolster their defence, and the Lombardy giants have set their sights on a promising young talent.
Sources at La Nazione suggest that the Rossoneri are working behind the scenes to secure a rising star in defence for their head coach, Paulo Fonseca.
Simone Canestrelli, the young defender currently with Pisa, has reportedly been attracting interest from Bologna for quite some time.
However, it seems that Milan’s sporting director, Geoffrey Moncada, is now also keen to bring the young talent to San Siro.
“Moncada is actively engaging with key figures to initiate discussions,” detailed La Nazione.
With contact seemingly underway, Milan fans will be eager to see whether Canestrelli could be the next addition to their defensive line.
As negotiations reportedly continue, it remains to be seen which club will win the race for the promising defender’s signature.
